It doesn’t storm often in coastal Southern California. When it did, I wanted to take advantage of it.
Jumping into the ocean, nude, when it’s 55 degrees Fahrenheit with scattered showers is a big ask for fair-weather friends. Luckily, best-friends Henny Rau (@henny_rau) and Chloé Bleue (@chloe.bleue) felt invigorated by the chance to create some seaside memories in Encinitas, California.
All images shot on Kodak T-Max 3200 (pulled to 1600iso), 35mm film on my Canon Ae-1 and Kodak Portra 800 on a Pentax IQZoom 80-E point and shoot. I incorporated the use of some handheld prisms.
We aspired to create images incorporating femininity, light play, movement, nature, female form, and to further my “Lost at Sea Book Club” film series underway.
